Our traditional Indian Thakat furniture range has a rich Eastern influence specifically engineered for the sophisticated taste buds of the UK’s consumers. Hand finished by Indian craftsman to our specific designs, the Thakat furniture range has a pure Indian charm crafted from solid Sheesham hardwood. The new pieces were launched this month on our website and new catalogue offering an even more extensive selection within this traditional range.

New to the range this season we have added the elegant solid wood Thakat Portcullis Hall Cupboard. For the lounge we have the new Thakat Traditional Nest of Two Tables and the highly practical Thakat Console Table which turns any little space into the perfect place to offload your everyday paraphernalia. The new hand finished Thakat Chest of Drawers are incredibly elegant and our Thakat Large Bookcase combines cupboards with shelves with the classical styling cues of this popular collection.

Designed and developed in Britain it is great to see all the hardwork reaching fruition with the new additions to the Khimsar range being launched in the latest catalogue, our 10th Birthday edition!

The beautiful new Khimsar Large Bookcase has a low profile design so as not to dominate your decor. We really love the new design of our Khimsar Console Table the tapered legs, slatted shelf and petite proportions enhance the charm of this versatile piece.

Distinctly Different Furniture – New additions to the Mallani Range

Our exclusive Mallani range of solid wood fair trade furniture harmonises effortlessly with almost any interior. The natural lustre of solid sheesham hardwood combines with elegantly simple keyline metal handles, carved plinths and pelmets to create this sleek and contemporary collection.
“The Mallani range is my personal favourite due to its clean contemporary lines. It fits with so many room decors and the deep rich lustre of the wood is almost mesmerising,” comments Alexandra De Glanville, Head Creative.
The designs are developed here in the UK, with prototypes created by the expert CAD machine operators in India. Going through this process ensures we maintain the exceptional quality of our furniture and allows us to develop new, great value products specifically for the UK market.
New to the range this season; for the lounge we have added the Mallani TV Console which has drawers designed for holding DVD’s and CD’s. For those with a larger collection the new Mallani Wide CD/DVD Shelf offers an attractive additional storage solution. Another great new line is the Mallani Storage Seat which includes an upholstered seat pad with removable, washable cotton cover.
For the dining room the Mallani Petite Sideboard is a compact solution with space for a complete dinner service and drawers for your tablemats, napkins and cutlery. If space is less of an issue the new Mallani Open Sideboard is an interesting alternative to the Classic Sideboard and features built in storage for wine bottles. Our new Mallani Refectory Table and Mallani Refectory Bench adds a practical and attractive design option to our Sheesham dining table sets. We are also expecting our new Mallani Oval Dining Table to be very popular. The solid wood dining table can welcome up to 8 people for some very sociable dining.
We like the new Mallani Large Console Table so much it has been featured on the front cover of the new catalogue! The new Mallani Wall Shelf with Hooks is also an elegant and welcoming addition to your hallway. Finally we have our new full length free standing Mallani Cheval Mirror with solid wood frame.
